"I do" solemnly swear

I am a Potterhead through and through (Slytherin House, of course). I was around 9 years old when the first book was released. My mother wouldn't allow me to read the books because they were filled with "wizardry and witchcraft", so I was forced to find my own cupboard under the stairs (a.k.a. the back corner of my school library) to hide and read them with hopes she never found out. What a world it was back then, right? When your only worry was your child reading such "satanic" literature. Perhaps that was what drove me to be such a fan - I've always lived by the mantra, "When people tell you that you can't, you just smile and say, 'watch me'". Now I'm tortured by my own children having the same mindset. Well played, Karma!

In 2010, when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter first opened at Universal Studios Orlando, I was on a plane to be there for opening weekend. It definitely didn't disappoint! Between the chocolate frogs and butterbeer, I was in a "higher place".

Anyway, here I am 23 years later, and I'm still as big of a Harry Potter fan as I ever was. But there are some even bigger fans out there who chose to get engaged or even married at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando. That is some commitment to the fandom!

The bridge built by DFI has become infamous for holding (literally) those magical moments. Check out some of the images below and click to view the full photoshoots.

Did you get engaged or married at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter? If so, drop a photo in the comments!
